Capture the moment

Time stands still in that instant your finger squeezes the trigger. All you can see is your target - you focus your breathing, feeling the warm wood on your palm as your grip tightens around the stock, the smooth touch of the trigger.... Relive those memories - capture the moment! Filming a safari requires dedication on the videographers part. The skill and precision that goes into working a shot - the angles, the light and the framing. It is an art that we at Ivory Trail aim to achieve. Working with Mike Amos Productions, Ivory Trail Safaris endeavors to produce the safari of a lifetime and the memory to go with it. Quote of the month

“A hunt based only on the trophies taken falls far short of what the ultimate goal should be.” -Fred Bear

You can take the hunter out the bush, BUT can you take the bush out the hunter?

It was with great trepidation we walked up the red carpet to our Hunters and Guides Ball to mark the end of the 2016 year. What WERE all the hunters going to look like? Will they be in their short shorts, gators on and a bit rough around the edges? I believe everyone was pleasantly surprised. Not only was everyone impeccably dressed but the mannerisms picked up (obviously on drive to the ball) would put the queen and her court to shame! Our ladies looked dashing as the graced us all with their presence and a great evening was had by all. At the awards ceremony we were pleasantly surprised by being awarded 'Biggest elephant shot in 2016'. It was a humbling experience as I look aver the caliber of professional hunters in our midst and that marked a great end to a great year. Thanks to all the support we received this year from all our hunters and outfitters alike. We head off in a few weeks to the United States and will be in booth number 4407, so please do stop by and say hi. I would love to catch up with you all - see you there!
